My 3rd gen 4Runner has slowly turned into the kind of adventure rig that makes it easy to say “yes” to last-minute trips—whether that’s camping in the cold, chasing dirt roads in Colorado, or heading out toward Utah and Moab. In this post I share the build as it stands right now, the upgrades that have made the biggest difference, and why this setup works so well for the way my family and I like to travel: simple, capable, and ready for the next stretch of backcountry.

About a year and a half ago, some friends and I took an unforgettable overlanding/camping trip through eastern Colorado and Moab—two days on the Rimrocker Trail and a few more in Canyonlands with the kids, making the best kind of memories. I originally edited the gallery in color, but later reworked the X100V shots in black and white and fell in love with the contrast. I hadn’t shared these photos until now—so here they are.

A couple of months ago I was privileged to do some work with my friends over at Whole Brand Agency for the City of Brighton. We captured various buildings, pools, parks, and restaurants to help tell the story of a beautiful growing city on the front range of Colorado.

For years we have been talking about finding a way to all get together IRL and this year we finally made it happen.

For my birthday this year I told Courtney that all I wanted to do was hang out in the mountains with my family. We packed up the cooking equipment, loaded the coolers with good food and beer, and made our way up to Moon Gulch.

…it was a beautiful and completely peaceful moment. It felt as if God was saying to me “I got you, you don’t need to stress about this. It will all work out, and to prove it to you I am going to give a beautiful moment with this fox AND give you a pretty cool picture to remember this moment”.

Hello! Welcome!. I recently pivoted in my career as a photographer and decided it was time for a website redo and thought it would be a good time to introduce myself and tell you a little more about me.

I was able to sneak Courtney away for a couple hours last night to get some maternity photos. Everyday I thank God that He led me to this woman.
