Winter Camping with Arden
We headed into the Colorado mountains for a winter camping trip with Arden, determined to keep our “camp once a month” goal even after the rest of the group had to cancel. Of course, the warm winter broke the one weekend we went—bringing brutal wind and near-zero temps. Arden still had a blast exploring and helping at camp, but the wind kept hammering the tent and repeatedly shut off our propane heater. With the cold becoming unsafe, we packed up in the dark, warmed up in the truck, and rolled home before sunrise—tired, a little humbled, and already laughing about the adventure.
Overlanding Colorado and Utah: X100V Monochrome
About a year and a half ago, some friends and I took an unforgettable overlanding/camping trip through eastern Colorado and Moab—two days on the Rimrocker Trail and a few more in Canyonlands with the kids, making the best kind of memories. I originally edited the gallery in color, but later reworked the X100V shots in black and white and fell in love with the contrast. I hadn’t shared these photos until now—so here they are.

Spending my Birthday in the Mountains
For my birthday this year I told Courtney that all I wanted to do was hang out in the mountains with my family. We packed up the cooking equipment, loaded the coolers with good food and beer, and made our way up to Moon Gulch.
