Yesterday was my first full day outing with the Ricoh GR. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with this camera. It is so small and fun to use, and just produces amazing images! There is so much detail and sharpness that I actually turned the sharpness to “0″ in Lightroom because they looked a little too crispy.
For years I have loved the simple and beautiful design of flip clocks. I have been on the hunt for a vintage, working, good condition one for years. I know you can find them online but I really wanted to find one for myself. Today, at an ARC Thrift Store, I finally found it. It is a 1970's Copal Model 227. It is small, elegant, in almost new condition, and works like a champ...and I payed $3 for it.
It immediately gained a place on my desk and I freakin' love this thing.
We lifted Zander this week! My dad and I spent a couple days installing a 2" lift and 1.5" wheel spacers on my 07 Commander. It was not an easy job but it was so fun and really rewarding. It looks pretty freakin' cool now too.
This is what it looked like after installing the lift and spacers but on the original tires.
After installing the lift we went on down to Discount Tire where our good friend Jimmy hooked us up with some 265/70 R17 Cooper Discoverer ATPs. This definitely completed the look. It is ready for adventures now. I love how big it looks. This is definitely my favorite car I have ever owned.
When we were all done my dad and I headed to the car wash to get them both cleaned up.
And of course had to grab a couple pictures of them together. It may be kinda nerdy that we both have similar cars, but I think it's pretty awesome.
Now to get them up in the mountains...
Hello friends, Meet Zander. She's a 2006 Jeep Commander and she is my new adventure machine. I got her all waxed up today.
I really am stoked about this car. It's perfect for me. It is comfortable, pretty good on gas, awesome off-road, good in the snow, awesome looking, and a Jeep. I already have a small lift kit and spacers in the garage to make it a little more capable. I can't wait to see where this car takes me.
